Admiring a picture perfect sunset while sailing in Aruba is the beginning of this true story, one that ends with "….and they lived happily ever after!"
That's exactly what happened to Harald Buser and Carla Cavallaro. They met and fell overboard in love while sailing Aruba's tranquil waters. At that moment Harald, from the port city of Amsterdam, and Carla, from a small sailing community just north of Boston, decided to make their shared dreams come true - to move to Aruba, buy a sailboat and spend the rest of their lives together.

Harald and Carla, who recently celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary, launch each Jolly Pirates cruise with their own special experience in mind. "We run a tight ship, so that we can make every moment on board as memorable for our guests as it was for us, " says Captain Harald. The personal treatment begins even before setting sail, with Carla greeting their guests on the beach with a big smile and their son Tyler in tow.
The couple's attention to detail and generous hospitality has paid off. They have already welcomed over 100, 000 visitors aboard their glorious 70-ton schooner and their ship continues to be the top choice among couples visiting the island. |
